This year’s theme, Resilience Through History: Reflecting on 150 Years of Progress and Setbacks in Racial and Ethnic Fairness, will guide thought-provoking discussions on ongoing initiatives, current activities, and nationwide reforms addressing cultural competence, equity, and related topics. The conference will take place at the Omni Providence Hotel, One West Exchange Street, Providence, RI, 02903. You may make reservations at the special conference rate of $165 per night (plus taxes and fees) here. We are excited to announce that the Achievement in Equity Award will be presented to an individual or organization whose outstanding commitment to Racial and Ethnic Fairness in the Courts has made a significant impact in the community. Detailed written reports continue to serve as valuable resources offering “how to” information to the membership and conference attendees. We encourage you to participate in the State of the States Reports by submitting a written report following the guidelines and presenting a brief (3-5 minute) highlight during the State of the States session at the annual meeting. Written reports are requested by March 21, 2025, and should be submitted using this link.
The National Consortium on Racial and Ethnic Fairness in the Courts Annual Meeting provides a valuable opportunity to discuss current challenges related to race equity and fairness in the courts. It also serves as a platform to share practical strategies for advancing equal access to justice and addressing structural, systemic, and institutional barriers within the judicial system.
